What the banks are doing by charging the USSD sessions will at least force users to adopt mobile apps.
The banks are not charging USSD session fees, the MNOs are charging them. The banks have no choice but to pass along the cost thus preventing users from accessing digital services (or only accessing the digital services preferred by the MNO). We are moving backwards.
